their less-stressed peers
(Gelles,D. Mindful Work).

Embodied Workplace, an MWBE, provides creative mindfulness programs and diversity & inclusivity training for global organizations.

Our programs are experiential
, scientific and conceptual. We apply  mindfulness and the philosophy and practice of yoga to address wellness and D&I needs across teams helping to drive  organizational change.

Embodied Workplace team will collaborate with you on a series of customized programs that address implicit bias, reduce stress, and improve employee morale.
The Benefits of Mindfulness
Companies like Aetna, Google, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Nike and General Mills recognize the benefits of mindfulness programming in the workplace and have implemented ongoing mindfulness training in the office.

Mindfulness reduces stress and pain
In 2015 Aetna employees reported a 28% reduction in stress levels, 20% improvement in sleep quality and 19% reduction in pain through the company’s mindfulness programs.

Mindfulness decreases implicit bias including:
  • Higher explicit and implicit feelings of positivity toward strangers and self (Hutcherson et al. 2009
  • Decreased implicit race and age bias and reduced discriminatory behavior (Lueke and Gibson 2014, 2016)
  • Reduced habitual responding to unconsciously acquired preferences (Whitmarsh et al. 2013)

Mindfulness changes our brains
Research at UCLA has found that it increases density of gray matter in brain regions linked to learning, memory, emotion regulation, and empathy.

Mindfulness helps us focus
According to a study conducted at University California Davis, meditation training enhanced the participants' emotional well-being and led them to perform better on tasks related to focus and sustaining attention.
